The difference between laser welding and low temperature plasma arc welding:
The low-temperature plasma arc of the plasma welding machine essentially belongs to the electric arc that has been reduced, while the laser belongs to the photon flow with good monochromaticity, specificity and coherence; the power of the laser can reach 106-129w/cm2, while The low-temperature plasma arc is usually 106w/cm2; the maximum temperature of the laser heating is also much higher than that of the low-temperature plasma arc; the particle beam is very easy to focus, disperse and guide, and can be connected with CNC machinery or intelligent robots for non-contact production and processing. The flexibility is improved; the laser welding equipment is complicated and the cost is increased; and the low-temperature plasma arc welding machine is simple in structure and low in cost.
The application environments of the two are different. Fiber laser welding machines are mainly used in industries with high precision requirements such as automobile bodies, locomotive tracks, medical machinery, and electronic products. Plasma welding machines are mainly used in manufacturing, such as copper alloys, titanium alloys, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other fields that do not require high precision in large-scale industrial production.
